What could be cuter than a rolly-polly pack of 2-month Golden Retriever puppies? If anyone had puppies as cute as these, you’d always want to be with them right? Say, even if they chewed on the furniture, stole food (even in its original packaging), and even if they wrestle with a live octopus (otherwise known as “Master’s Dinner”)?
But why are they even troublesome in the first place? Why does it seem that the Master is the only one taking care of the pups? Where is the mom?
The mom dog, “Dalhee”, is happily lying on the lanai just looking at her brats without a care in the world. Why is mommy suddenly so apathetic? She doesn’t want to take care of her babies.
The puppies come to her for milk, but she avoids them as if her own kids have some kind of disease. She literally runs away from them. Why is she like this? Even their Master remarked it’s as if they aren’t related at all.
It wasn’t always like this, her Master said. “She used to protect her pups” as any mother would. Her Master called in an expert to see what could be wrong with Dalhee.
Checking up on Mommy Dog, the vet discovered that Dalhee was barely lactating, and the rigorous pups almost have their full set of very sharp teeth. No wonder Mommy is pushing them away! Every mom needs a time out. Even mom-dogs.
The vet recommends that Dalhee take a break from childcare, and spend some quality time together like they used to before she had pups. Dog and Master spend some time in the pool playing together and relaxing.
But what about the puppies? Who will look after them while Mommy and “Daddy” are away? How can they release their boundless energy? Watch the surprising solution below:
